Five Favorite Running Stocking Stuffers
1. BondiBand
First on the list is one of my favorite items that I wear each run, a BondiBand headband. It works great to keep the sweat out of my eyes and off my face without getting hot where it is trapping heat. It worked fantastic for me all summer. They come in a ton of colors and even with designs, to fit whatever outfit you have for that day or race. They also offer a ton of other products on their site including sweat wicking hats perfect for the winter running (including ones made for pony tails and pig tails), arm sleeves, neck gators and even stuff for the little ones.
2. Nuun
Second is something I drink after every run, Nuun hydration. It's important to always hydrate, even on cold runs. I prefer to hydrate with more than just water, but things like certain alligator named sports drinks are too heavy and contain extra stuff I don't necessarily need. Enter Nuun, a simple tablet you drop in your water to add flavor, electrolytes and vitamins. If you're like me and like that extra boost, they have a version with caffeine, Nuun Energy. They even offer an All Day blend made for giving you something tasty and healthy to get through the work day.
3. Race Day Energy of Choice
Next throw in their race day energy of choice. I enjoy a Clif Bar pre race and for my long races, GU Gels during. I also don't use them regularly, but ENERGYbits are FANTASTIC as well. The smell isn't great, but their output is. I love being #poweredbybits. There are plenty of options and everyone has their own preferences, so find out what they like and throw it in there.4. ProCompression
I love compression. My personal brand of choice is ProCompression. I love their sleeves and own several pairs. Their socks look fantastic and they even come in several lengths, including shorter ones that don't offer calf compression, if that isn't your thing. So why not stuff the stockings WITH stockings?
5. Gift Certificate to your Local Running Store
Lastly, when it won't quite fit in a stocking, make it a gift card. This way, they can pick out exactly what they want. In addition, get one for your local running store (my local shout out is for Potomac River Running). They'll generally offer all of the above, as well as safety gear, clothes and shoes.Linking Up

Oh my gosh, I love Nuun! I drink it all the time during and after workouts and races. It's also an excellent hang over cure, haha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the extra shout out =)
I never thought of it for a hangover cure, but that would work well.
DeleteYou're welcome. Have a great weekend!
All good choices. I rather dread stocking stuffers because only my grandmother does them, and they're all gag gifts only she understands.
ReplyDeleteHaha. Yeah. Jokes that only one person gets just get awkward.
DeleteI like Nuun as well after my runs. I have never tried the energy nor the all day ones. That would be a great helathy alternative than other drinks. -L
ReplyDeleteI like the energy especially for early morning runs as a little prehydrating. I haven't had the all day yet but looks fantastic.
DeleteAll great choices! Nuun would be on my list as well! Enjoy St. Nicholas day!!
ReplyDeleteI love how easy it travels too. I just throw the tube in the bag and I'm good to go when I need it.
Deletehonestly do you really notice a diff with the energy bits? I tried them last year and didn't see anything. They smell kind of funky too right?
ReplyDeleteI smells like cleaning a fish tank to me, haha. So I got good at quickly throwing them in and drinking with water.
DeleteI got a couple single serving samples and they did help on a couple of early morning stroller runs when I was exhausted waking up. Small sample set but was positive for me.
OMG - I've been obsessed with that video for years and quote it all the time haha. Awesome. Love the runner's stocking stuffers, and these are all great choices... I especially like Nuun and a gift certificate to my local running store. I'd also add some chapstick :)
ReplyDeleteJust found put my sister had never seen the video but now she has. Haha
DeleteGood call on the chapstick. Always need a couple because intend to lose it or let it go through the washer and dryer.
Great list! I like Nuun and Pro Compression socks!
ReplyDeleteHard to go wrong with those too. Have a great weekend.
DeleteGreat list - hope to get some Nuun in the stocking this winter.. or socks haha :)
ReplyDeleteBoth good choices. I ended with coffee (fantastic fuel) and some Pro Compression from St Nicholas
DeleteI love 4/5 of these items on your list! Great ideas for any runner.
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love running stuff and supporting local stores.
DeleteI love Potomac River Running Store, too! Any chance you're running in the Run With Santa 5K tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteNo. I'm actually in Williamsburg for Grand Illuminations which we've started as a family tradition. I am running the Christmastown Dash tomorrow at Busch Gardens.
DeleteIt's hard to go wrong with a gift card for a running store when looking at a gift for runners :)
ReplyDeleteI know I'll always gladly take one.
DeleteUmm, yes, please...to all of these ideas! I love so many of these; hoping to get some fun running treats under the tree this year! Great post, as always; hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Hope you get some of them too. It was pretty good for the most part. Race was a lot of fun and had my hot cider, so makes for a happy me.
