Happy Memorial Day everybody. Memorial Day has always been an important holiday in my family. My dad served in the army and my family is very active with the local VFW. I grew up a lot in that building. Every year, Memorial Day meant playing taps at dawn at every cemetary in our community with a small prayer ceremony, the town parade and larger ceremony followed by a parade back to the VFW fro ice cream, pretzels, soda, and water for all. For that reason, I didn't write a post this week. I will however have the linkup for all those who did already write posts, so we can continue to share throughout the week.
