1. Thermal
These tights are so warm. They have a brushed interior thermal layer, that is soft and warm. I found it kept me warm when it was -1ºF with wind chill but not too hot when it was above freezing either.
2. Compression
2XU does compression right, and these tights are no exceptions. They provide all around compression, giving all your muscles extra support and protection throughout your legs. They also offer graduated compression, which improves circulation.
3. Reflective
The HYOPTIK family of products is 2XU's line that offers reflective logos. This helps keep you visible in low light. In the winter, when the days are shorter, you're mathematically more likely to be running in these conditions. Always be safe, be seen.
4. Comfy
Compression tights have grown on me ever since testing the 2XU Elite MCS Compression Tights. With these tights, the thermal layer portion makes these tights extra comfy. I may have delayed changing out of them after a run on more than one occasion, because of how comfy they are.
5. Great base layer for snow
With the impending blizzard nor'easter here in the northeast, it's almost time to play in the snow (or if you're elsewhere, you may already have reached that point). What better base layer for playing in the snow than some thermal compression tights? They'll keep you warm and the compression will help your muscles through that extra workout, a la Rocky IV style.

How do you keep your legs warm? Do you run in tights?

Oh, these sound great! You had me at warm!
ReplyDeleteThat is a strong selling point right now. I can attest the held up against Snowzilla.
DeleteI bought a pair of compression tights last yr. I won't mention the name. But they were not this brand. And they were super thin. I need a nice thermal pair like these.
ReplyDeleteYeah. Whatever material they use on the inside of these work fantastically. Held up against both low temps and a pretty biting wind.
DeleteI have a pair of Under Armour fleece tights I absolutely love. And a couple cute ones from Target. I have a pair of 2XU compression socks but never tried the pants! they look great and warm!
ReplyDeleteI have their tights but not their socks. My experience with two types of their tights makes me want to try all their gear.
DeleteI need those tights! It's damn cold here in Chicago!
ReplyDeleteYeah, they'd definitely help you out there.
DeleteI do love my compression pants. They are wonderful but I realized that I need another pair since the pair I have are fading quite a bit.
ReplyDeleteThese are perfect if you want a warm and extra comfy pair.
DeleteI love compression gear! I've been looking on and off at the 2XU but I can't pull the trigger just yet... I'm ok spending $$ on running shoes but look for the best deals on anything else. Some day!
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty pricey. I'm finding myself more likely to invest in gear beyond shoes, since I've tried some of the nicer stuff and can see the difference. Unfortunately I no longer have a code (we had 20% off in December) BUT we are giving away a pair on #bibchat tonight on twitter. 9PM EST. Just need to follow @BibRave (and usually the sponsor @2XU_USA in this case) and tweet at least once with #bibchat to have a chance to win.
