Five Fitness Snapshots

Happy Friday. It's time to link up with my favorite DC Trifecta. This week is a visual theme. I had to dig to find some fitnessy pictures. I love taking pictures, but I don't have a lot from running, per say. I also, in true weekly fashion, didn't prep this until Thursday night. Actually, as I'm writing this sentence, I haven't pulled 5 pictures yet. Let's see how this turns out together. This week's topic is

Five Fitness Snapshots

1. My Little Runner!

Looking good for her first race.

This will have it's own post to come, but I had to start with a picture of my little runner. She had so much fun and we are so proud of her.

2. My First "Real" Running Shoes.

Asics Gel Kayano 18

When I finally took the running plunge, I did what everyone said. I went to my running store, got fitted, tried on a bunch and picked the ones that felt best. Of course, I had to pick a stand out pair. And now, they've been retired into an every day shoe.

3. My Moment in runDisney.

Running Brave

This picture was my short lived moment of runDisney fame. I was featured on the runDisney blog (and reappearing recently on their Facebook page for princess costumes) with Elissa and Princess Meridave. It was a proud moment. Still love the kilt.

4. Donald with Donald.

Donald with Donald

My first half, my huge goal, was the 2014 Walt Disney World Half Marathon. The bling earned is a Donald medal. After which, I was sure to get a photo op with the duck himself in Storybook Circus. Man, I love Disney.

5. My First Finish.

Fin.

And we end where it began. My first race was the Rockstar 8K. Like, first race EVER. Read about it here. My first race down the road to being hooked.

    1. Thanks. Also took some with Goofy wearing my Goofy runDisney New Balance shoes. He seemed to like them. They didn't have his size though.

    1. We're huge Disney / runDisney / everythingDisney fans. That's awesome about ToT. We're planning on that one next year as a birthday gift for my daughter doing a trip.

    1. My wife actually did. Did a great job I think. And was tricky and did snaps on the elastic, so can expand it and add more pieces as get bigger too if she wants. Plus it was easier than sewing the elastic together.

    1. It was fantastic. The whole race weekend was great even when we weren't running. Like everything Disney, they do it big and in style. Pair that with my love of the parks, and couldn't help but have a blast.

    1. Thanks. We had to take her medal with us everywhere that day. And it needs to be on a shelf she can reach at home so she can grab it at any time. Haha.

    1. Yeah. I took some during the race, but my camera was having issues with lens getting a little foggy or water on it because the cover part wasn't closing so not as many good ones as I would have liked. I did buy the pics from MarathonFoto, as expensive as they were because it was my first. We always load up the PhotoPass in the parks though.

    1. Thanks. I didn't have a lot to share for the week, so thought this a good way to use pictures instead.

    1. Yeah, we were walking into the corrals and a photographer asked if he could take our picture and our response was "Of course!". Thought maybe we'd end up on Facebook album or something for them but we popped up on the blog itself. Was very cool.

  11. Great pictures! I love that my youngest has run in two races already and loves to put on one of my bondibands and race around the house (because apparently if you put one on, you must be going to run, lol).

    1. Of course you must be going to run. My daughter has her "super fast shoes" which are new ones we got her just before her race.
