Register to Fly Like a Fairy | #MagicalMickey

I'm back and (mostly) on track again after some time off at the beach. I had a post for last week to mostly say that, but I unfortunately forgot to schedule. My apologies. Instead, back to our regularly scheduled Magical Mickey linkup. This week, I'm providing you with your helpful registration reminder.

Register to Fly Like a Fairy

On Tuesday, August 10th, at 12 noon EDT, registration for the Tinker Bell Half Marathon weekend opens up. This is a Disneyland race weekend, for May 5 - May 8, 2016. The weekend features the Never Land 5K, Tinker Bell 10K, and Tinkerbell Half Marathon, as well as kid races. Of course, there are also two other special medals offered during this race, the Pixie Challenge for the combination of the 10K and half marathon as well as being Coast to Coast Challenge qualifying. This race is the second half of what you need to earn the special pink Coast to Coast Challenge, with the Princess Half Marathon.

While the absolute crazy frenzy of last year's registrations has died down, if you still want to ensure a certain race or challenge, you need to be online when it opens. All the races haven't been selling out in minutes, but the more popular ones are still going within the first hour. This pixie dust filled event can be popular, given is more woman-centric theme, so take that into consideration. For the full information on the race, go to the official runDisney site. For the quick, down and dirty on cost, I give you a portion of their email.

As with all runDisney registrations, I suggest you have your active.com account set up and ready to go. Make sure you know you're password and test it. You don't want to be clicking 'forgot my password' instead of clicking 'register'. So if you want to earn your wings, set your alarm, and have some faith, trust, and pixie dust.

Do you plan to run at Tinker Bell half marathon weekend? Do you believe in fairies?

Onto the Linkup

Here are the guidelines:

The post just needs to be about anything Disney related. There have been posts on runDisney, on the parks and even on the Moms Panel, so just give it some Disney and count it.

New posts are fantastic, but for now, if you have a great old post you want to share, drop it on in.

Try to visit as many of the posts that you can as time allows. The point of this is to share and support each other.

If you're going to be a regular, please link back to the host posts. It's just good etiquette and frankly, that's how others will get to your fellow Disney lovers content. Without that link back, they can't find the linkup and therefore the other blogs. Help me help you.

You also have the option to add the linkup code to your post if you'd like. It is not required, just another option. If not, please follow the above link back guideline.
